The new 34mm watch by Raymond Weil is elegant and sober and should appeal to ladies who appreciate classic styles. The Swiss watchmaker has roped in the internationally renowned classic violinist Nicola Benedetti as brand ambassador of the Toccata collection. Among the most sought-after violinists of her generation, Nicola has won multiple awards and is also known for her charities despite being only 27 years old.

“Raymond Weil has a long and distinguished association with supporting music and musicians, and is committed to supporting classical music into the future. I am therefore delighted to join their family of music ambassadors and to present my signature watch as part of the new toccata collection”, said Nicola Benedetti.

The Toccata watch is equipped with a quartz movement that combines accessibility with quality. Its beautifully rounded steel, rose gold PVD plated steel or yellow gold PVD plated steel case blends harmoniously with the rounded sapphire crystal – which is the hallmark of this collection. The mother-of-pearl dial displays a baton of the orchestra conductor above which is a simple musical score that sweeps back and forth over the diamond indexes. The satin strap gives toccata an incredibly feminine styling.

Raymond Weil will be supporting Nicola’s charity work for music education throughout 2015. To celebrate this partnership, the brand has also created with the artist a special limited edition chocolate-brown version of the toccata with 91 diamonds. Only 300 units of this watch have been made.
