Aberlour 12 Year Old is now available at Duty Free shops in Mumbai and Delhi airports

Single malt lovers have reason to cheer as one of the most awarded single malt whiskies has been launched in India. Aberlour’s entire range – 12 YO, 16YO and 18 YO – is now exclusively available at the duty free shops in Mumbai and Delhi airports.

Regarded as one of the finest single malts being produced today, Aberlour is clean, crisp and fruity with striking depth. Aberlour was founded in 1879 by James Fleming. In 1990, Aberlour became the first single malt whisky ever to win the Gold Medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition twice, and it went on to win the same Gold Medal 13 more times in the last 10 years.

Aberlour is part of Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whisky and premium gin business of Pernod Ricard. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Kartik Mohindra, Head International Brands at Pernod Ricard India, said, “We are proud to present Aberlour, yet another fine offering from our prestigious portfolio of premium spirits. The inimitable quality and craftsmanship make Aberlour, one of the most consistently awarded single malt whiskies. With the rising appetite for crafted single malts whiskies, we feel it’s the right time to bring Aberlour to the Indian audience. We are confident that this will resonate with the discerning malt connoisseurs who are looking for enriching, authentic and unique whisky experiences.”

The Aberlour 12 Year Old is a smooth, fruity dram with citrus character complemented by the use of ex-sherry casks. The 16 Year Old, double matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, is even creamier and richer, with an enhanced velvety mouth-feel. The 18 Year Old is the finest of the three – gentle, soft and fruity to the nose and rich and spicy on the palate. It is a dram meant to be savoured slowly without ice or water.

Whisky lovers in India can look out for all three expressions at duty free stores in Mumbai and Delhi airports. Their price range is $53 – $111.
