Celebrate World Music Day
On 21st June, 1981, France organised the Fête de la Musique’, also known as Make Music Day or World Music Day that urged people to celebrate music by performing on the streets and organising concerts. Other nations soon enough joined in the merriment and today 120 nations mark this occasion with concerts and performances. While concerts galore are planned in various cities today (lookout for performances by Parikrama, Indian Ocean, Benny Dayal at Hard Rock Cafes across India), it sure is also the perfect day for musicophiles to test their Music Quotient (MQ) and find out how deep really is their love for music!
This MQ test has been devised by City of Music, which interestingly is India’s first music-themed township. Developed by Nirvana Realty and Disha Direct, City of Music has been designed by famous architect Hafeez Contractor. The community is sprawled over 22 acres of green expanse, amidst scenic farms and the River Amba, ensuring that residents are cocooned in the calming sounds of nature.
