Delhi Durbar for the coronation ceremony of King George V and Queen Mary

The image shows the third and the last durbar in 1911 for King George V. It adorns the walls of 1911, the restaurant at The Imperial, which celebrates this landmark year in the history of New Delhi. It was in this year; on December 12, 1911 that King Emperor George V had declared New Delhi as the Capital of India. On December 15, King Emperor George V and Queen Empress Mary laid down the foundation of New Delhi.
