On the second floor of The Imperial in the interconnecting corridor works from 'Views in the Himalayan Mountains' by James Baillie Fraser are displayed. Fraser was a Scottish merchant who started his career in Calcutta in 1814. He was the first European to reach the source of Ganges. Fraser visted Himalayas between 1815-16. His sketches, twenty large hand-coloured aquatints, were published in 1820.
