A dynasty of specialists and collectors, The Dillée Family’s collection of furniture and art is to be sold by Sotheby’s on 18th March.
The Dillée family is a renowned Parisian dynasty of specialists and collectors of furniture and works of art. For nearly a century, the family has been connected with the art market and the auction world and are considered specialists in furniture and works of art from the 17th and 18th Centuries. The items going under the hammer in Paris on 18th March have been acquired by the Family over a period of three generations. Consisting of 450 lots, the sale by Sotheby’s will be divided into two sessions, including French decorative arts from the 17th to the 19th centuries, Old Master paintings and drawings, bronzes, scientific objects and antique arms.
This rare collection showcases the expertise and knowledge of Bernard Dillée, Jean-Pierre and Guillaume Dillée. The auction will include rare objects of great charm, previously unseen in the market. You can view some of the extraordinary items for sale in the slideshow below:
