All new P2B/03-W “Woody” by SEVENFRIDAY is a testament to the good old industrial times. Here is a watch for men who are still captivated by the remarkable industrial production methods, the vintage iron tools, and the art of carpentry along with the hand hammered copper.
This is the latest addition to the industrial production line by SEVENFRIDAY and the second time that they have integrated wood in the design of their watches. The P2B/03-W “Woody” features a stainless steel box enhanced with dark grey PVD treatment and the interface of the watch is highlighted with copper elements. The watch also showcases a Super Luminova on the hour hand and on the 12 different hour indicators, the first SEVENFRIDAY with this feature. This added improvement makes it easier to read time in low light.
Another new feature in this watch is the NFC CP mechanism, which can be used to integrate the watch with your phone once you download the SEVENFRIDAY mobile application on your smartphone and follow the instructions. This app can also be used to check the authenticity of the watch by scanning it with the phone and to register your watch. The box of the P2B/03-W “Woody” is surrounded by the highlight of this particular watch, a wooden animation ring made up of seven different sheets of wood. Extremely skilled craftsmen from Watschinger, an Italian company with 60 years of expertise in luxury wooden carpentry, used their know-how to cut, shape, lacquer individually, layer and then join various layers of wood such as American walnut, beech and solid cherry timbers.
The watch runs on an Automatic movement with a large open skeleton area on Miyota 82S7 and has a 40 hour power reserve. The multi layer interface boasts a 5N / rhodium Côte de Genève finishing & gun metal, with 16 different applied parts. With a skeleton disk for seconds, a special minute hand along with the Super Luminova enhanced hour hand and hour indexes, the surface of the watch exuberates timelessness. The brown oiled strap gives the watch a subtle vintage touch and the display is completed with hardened and naturally treated mineral glass.
