Nike’s latest proprietary cushioning platform Joyride is out in five new models with different configurations for different requirements. Here’s a low down on what to expect from each.

Nike Joyride Run Flyknit
This model is designed for runners of all types – amateurs and professionals alike. It provides soft cushioning and smooth transition to ease the impact of each step. Seasoned runners will like this shoe for recovery/easy runs while new runners will benefit from the impact support as they learn to run the correct way.
The Flyknit is a super lightweight and breathable fabric that hugs the feet and gives it a secure, comfortable fit. Inside the shoe is a synthetic material that further wraps the foot and keeps it in place. The low-cut design makes the Nike Joyride Run Flyknit easy to wear.

Thousands of tiny TPE beads meanwhile are contained within four pockets in the sole and compress and adapt to your every step. The high-wear zones feature durable rubber and the raised nobs improve traction.
Nike Joyride NSW

The Nike Joyride NSW is your all-weather sneaker that you can wear for a jog or a trip to the grocery store. The shoe offers 360-degrees comfort with a two-pod configuration for the TPE beads. So, this isn’t the shoe to take for long runs where you’ll rather need more cushioning but it does have a striking design that will add a cool dash of colour and swag to your look. This model will have unisex sizing and is set for release on 1st September, 2019.
Nike Joyride NSW Setter

This shoe is the ‘muscle car’ of the Joyride family. We bet you will catch yourself giving the Nike Joyide NSW Setter a second look thanks to its rather different design. Quite aptly, the shoe debuted at Matthew Williams’ SS20 ALYX show at the Paris Fashion Week. It features a unique upper with rubber eyelets and stability patches that together give this shoe a very interesting appearance and holds the foot securely over the three-pod sole.
Nike Joyride NSW Optik

Specifically designed for women, this model has a smart design and an asymmetrical zip closure that replaces the traditional lace look. The shoes don’t have a sockliner and so the feet rest directly on the pods. This results in super soft cushioning and a personalised delightful underfoot experience. The shoe features leather heel and collar melds, molded skin on the upper and additional heel height. Sizes 6 and higher have four pods while smaller sizes have 3 pockets of beads to ensure great comfort and energy return for all.
Nike Joyride Kids Nova

Engineered for the needs of young athletes, the Nike Joyride Kids Nova features two TPE bead pods. This provides their feet with great cushioning, protecting kids from the impact of running, jumping and tumbling around! The elastic stretchy upper as well as the midfoot strap holds their feet securely and keeps them ready for all types of games and fun. We also love that Nike has done away with laces and offered pull tabs that allow children to easily take the shoes on and off.
