The BMW India Bridal Fashion Week began with Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla’s collection dedicated to Varanasi and showcased the silks, brocades, gold and silver thread work, and carpet weaving that the city is renowned for. Actress Sonam Kapoor was their showstopper who began the show wearing the spectacular Black Lotus Pond gown adorned with 3D lotuses and for the finale she sashayed on the ramp in a red bridal lehnga.

JJ Valaya

The soul of JJ Valaya’s ‘The Bolshoi Bazaar’ collection (pictured on top) was inspired by Russian and India cultures. The collection in signature weaves, crepes, georgettes and other fine fabrics featured sparkling bespoke Swarovski crystals in iridescent Green, Tangerine and jewel hues like emerald and ruby. The colours on the Bolshoi Bride were antique, metallic and neutral tones with a dash of India Bright. The JJ Valaya Bride this season is esoteric and grand as ever.

Tarun Tahiliani

Our Electric New World by Tarun Tahiliani was a visual delight for the spectators. The models sparkled in the modern, light-weight bridal outfits. The array of outfits included panelled veils, jackets, corsets, kurtas, sarees, lehenga saris, lehenga-cholis, dhotis and sherwanis.
